Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American British sitarist and musician. She was the first and the first woman to be awarded the British House of Commons Shield she has had nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first artist of Indian of Indian descent to perform live on stage and also be a presenter for the ceremony. Anoushka Shakar is a promising young rising star on the Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She is both the daughter and pupil of Ravi Shankar. Her childhood was spent bouncing back and forth from London in the UK to New Delhi. As a teenager, her first show in New Delhi took place.
